Beyonce gone in 22 secs......

I have to give it to the new aged Tina Turner, Beyonce knows how to make her presence be known.  On August 10th, Bey sold out 4 shows in NYC Roseland Ballroom in 22 secs.  I pretty sure that is a record broken.  She will be doing 4 intimate shows for her fans, and Im pretty sure it will be worth it.

Too Risky for a 10 year old??????

French Vogue magazine was hit with major criticism when they put a spread of this 10 year old model in adult clothing and make up.  Some people feel like its exploiting young children, in a sexual manner. Thylane Loubry Blondeau is shown wearing heavy make-up, haute couture and heels, while showing off seductive pouts and poses for the camera, and many believe that this is going to give even younger girls a misrepresentation of how they should look

There was a feminist that was extremely upset with the pictures:
Chloe Angyal:“This isn’t edgy. It’s inappropriate, and creepy, and I never want to see a nine-year-old girl in high-heeled leopard print bedroom slippers ever again.”
According to an Associate Professor of Psychology at Arizona Sate, photos like these are easy bait for a child pornographer:“Any creepy child pornographer could plead ‘artistic license. [The photos] clearly create an image of the girl as an adult woman, both in the clothing, the postures and emotional content of the images. The message is that very young girls can be dressed and viewed as young adult women.”

My opinion: ummmm I think it is a bit risky to expose a child in an adult magazine for adults.  But their (french) culture and ethics are so much different from America.  We also have to remember that Kimora Lee started modeling at the mere age of 13 for Chanel, Tyra Banks at 15, but they had to go oversees to make a mark for themselves because we are(America) opinionated it would not be accepted her.  If their parents would not have stuck their necks out to help their daughters model with top fashion designers like Chanel, they would not be the women that they are now.....but that's just my opinion

Brandy on 90210 & a new documentary

Brandy will be coming back to the small screen in on the CW network for 90210, she will play:

Marissa Jackson-Lewis, a charismatic young politician running for congress in California against Teddy’s (Trevor Donovan) conservative uncle. “She’s a cross between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama,” notes a source close to the show. “She’s inspirational but with a drive to get the job done.” To that end, Marissa hires Silver (Jessica Stroup) to create a video campaign to reach the youth vote

Brandy will also have a mini series about her journey in life, the evolution of Brandy.  The accident, Dancing with the Stars, the break up with her fiance, and falling in music.

SN:I love Brandy she is a hometown girl and is not shame to admit her mistakes.  I think this series will give people a better outlook on her as a person.  I also know when she comes out with her album it will be a major deal in R&B.....check out the trailer

Behind The Music is moving to Sundays starting with this week’s premiere of the can’t-miss Mary J. Blige episode. In this sneak peek, Blige reveals how her budding romance with now-husband Kendu Isaacs inspired her to combat her worsening alcohol abuse. “The best thing you can do to me? Challenge me to challenge myself,” she says, and that’s exactly what Isaacs apparently did for her. She attributes her success to “willpower” and “prayer,” and admits, “It was hard.”
